陳秀坤老師，1945年出生於河北省定州市，1968年畢業於天津大學化工系，是一位優秀的化學工程師。
1992年，陳秀坤老師患上乳癌，開始學習郭林新氣功。1995年，她開始在北京義務教功。1998年移居香港，此後二十年，她陸續於香港多間醫院和機構教功。2003年，發起成立 「香港郭林氣功同學會」。傳承工作方面，她仔細參考郭林新氣功典籍，編寫了多本郭林新氣功教材書籍，又悉心訓練輔導員。
陳秀坤被譽為「香港郭林氣功首席導師」，並擔任「香港郭林氣功同學會」永遠榮譽主席、香港中醫乳癌協會顧問、「世界醫學氣功協會」名譽理事。陳老師於2020年6月8日，因自身免疫性疾病重症肌無力，及繼發性骨髓增生異常綜合症，再加上長年累月勞累過度，在香港靈實醫院安詳離世，享年74歲。
